Action reference

Select the Robot before choosing actions. An action type can have target-specific restrictions; use its current form and diagnostics rather than assuming identical behavior.

Action Browser HTML Important behavior
gotoUrl Yes Yes HTML reads source without executing page scripts.
click Yes Links HTML follows HTTP(S) anchors, not scripted buttons.
type Yes No Optional text processing; a located Browser field is replaced, otherwise current focus is used.
moveMouse Yes No Requires a supported locator.
scroll Yes No Robot/Human mode, optional target/container; explicit zero stays zero.
wait Yes Yes Time, existence or absence; fixed, variable or inclusive random duration.
goBack, goForward Yes No Actual navigation history; missing entries fail.
newTab, switchTab, closeTab Yes No New blank tab; zero-based indexes; closing the final tab is refused.
remove Yes Yes Remove the first selection, or all selected matches explicitly. This changes the current document.
customCode Yes No Execute an ordinary/async function on the current page; return is diagnostic output, not an assigned variable.
Action Usage
set Assign a binding or extracted/formatted value; explicit separator enables collection. Supported project connectors can consume the result.
if Boolean or supported element condition; Browser also supports custom predicates.
while Condition, optional Do While and positive literal/variable cap.
repeatOn Arrays, supported retained files, saved records or target-specific page elements.
exit Succeeded/failed, with an optional text log. It does not run subsequent actions or its children.
call Subsession: Internal shared execution or External independent Session. External calls are ordinary-run only.

Native Console/Desktop support shared value/flow actions without DOM/page predicates. See control flow, Set and formats and Subsessions.

Action Usage
trackContainer Assemble records for a project Container; default one selected row.
trackDataField Set a declared field inside an active collection.
trackComplexDataField Set a dynamic field name/value inside that collection.
saveAs Generate content, download a supported target or produce an explicit file attachment.
screenshot Browser image/document modes, HTML source, or Desktop visible image.

Console/Desktop can collect bound values and generate files but cannot extract DOM elements. Toolbox previews records; ordinary Runs apply publication settings. Temporary Toolbox file consultation is separate from publication.

Console supports Bash Exec (exec), terminal Type and supported shared flow/data actions. It has no graphical display or page locators. Desktop Linux adds coordinate Click/Move/Type, scrolling and visible-screen capture. Exec is a native-target action; Browser/HTML do not gain host-command execution.

For a minimal native example and its limits, use Robot kinds.

Browser input inherits Robot/Human unless an action overrides it. Scroll and click-download overrides apply to that invocation only. Standard Browser element screenshots stay the default unless Human is selected explicitly for the capture.

Some modes accept more than their common defaults; this table is not a promise that arbitrary imported options execute. Disabled subtrees stay saved and are skipped. Enabled unsupported actions can be rejected before the first scenario effect, even in an untaken branch.
